After reading (or skimming) the full article, players are asked whether they accept the claim, reject the claim, or decide to withhold judgment until they have more information. They also have to write a short justification for their decision. This can be no longer than 20 words. Students should be reminded that the teacher and their classmates will be able to see their responses. Players will be commenting on each other’s responses in the final stage of the game.
Once they have written their response, players will return to the game and drive across the finish line. But they aren’t done yet!
